Medical assessment
The first step towards weight loss surgery will require a medical assessment which is performed by a medical doctor who will make a record of your full medical history, and perform a number of tests, such as:
- Blood and urine analysis
- Chest X-Ray
- Barium swallow
- ECG
- Gallbladder Ultrasound
An anaesthetic consultation will be arranged prior to surgery. Other specialist consultations and investigations may be required for some patients.
